Tertiary Education Fees

Low fees for tertiary education is very important. There is a significant proportion of people who are unable to pay high rates for fees.   They are predominantly the people who are newly migrated from overseas and need to learn English as a second language.   High fees for education will be a main barrier agains their way to get education.  They could get better jobs if the government would contributed to their educational costs.  Lower fees for tertiary education have also impact on quality of education. If the government imposes higher fees for education this will lead to educational institutions losing of students, because there is always a low demand for higher cost of education.  Consequently the educational institutions will do their best to keep quantity rather than quality.  It will effect the overall outcome of professionalism in the future.  As a result of lower fees for tertiary education, the government is not just support people, but also assures the quality as well.

There might be a sort of benefit of higher fees as will, it will decline the annual budget of the state. There might be also a kind of increase in the government revenues as they will collect more taxes from educational institutions. These benefits are minor as a comparison with the negative impacts it may have in the long term.
